Music From My Childhood

The first ever record I bought was My Sweet Lord by George Harrison. I was 11 years old. It cost 7 shillings which is 35 pence in today’s money. You can buy My Sweet Lord on iTunes for 99p today. Music was so expensive then. My pocket money was sixpence a week, which is two and a half pence in today’s money. I’m beginning to sound like my Grandmother, but I guess what I’m getting at is thank goodness music is so much more accessible to people, and you don’t have to save up for 14 weeks to buy a single.
